Manuel Mendoza

Manuel Mendoza was on of the original members of Mariachi Vargas, playing with them from 1898 Until the early 1930's, when Francisco Álvarez joined. After Francisco was murdered, Manuel rejoined, but only until a replacement could be found, that replacement being José Mendoza (no relative). He is pictured here in Tecalitlán with Silvestre Vargas (violín) and Gaspar Vargas (guitarra de golpe).
